PearlPOS - user manual describes all functionality in the PearlPOS cashier application. This includes, sale, basic functions, payment, promotions & discounts, advanced functions etc.

1 General

This user manual explains the functionality of POSBE. This first chapter describes the different elements of PearlPOS and the overall view. The next chapters will describe in more detail the different functionalities available.

• The header displays the name of the person logged in. By clicking the username logged in you may lock the POS and get access to “Keyboard shortcuts”.
• The basket / shopping cart is displayed on the left-hand side. All items added to the transaction will be displayed in the basket.
• At the top right the Transaction Total is displayed. This is the amount to be paid by the customer.
• Below the transaction total is the Article search. This field allows the user to search for articles.
• Basic functions are displayed on the right-hand side. These buttons are explained in detail in chapter "Basic functions".
• Advanced functions are displayed on the right-hand side. These buttons are explained in detail in chapter "Advanced functions".
• The footer displays the POS Status, information or error messages that need to be examined, as well as the number of items that are in the checkout database for the selected store.

2 Add article

2.1 Scanning

Articles will mostly be added to the transaction by scanning. When articles are scanned, they are added to the transaction and listed in the basket on the left side of the screen.

2.2 Article search

In cases where it is not possible to scan articles (e.g. if the barcode is not available), the “Article search” field is used to search for articles. The search field can be used to search for article number or description. By clicking on the item it will be added to the transaction, and listed in the basket on the left hand side of the screen.
