1 Technical Architecture Overview

This diagram shows a typical POSbE setup where Sap is used as ERP-system, but any other ERP-system could be equally relevant:

1.1 Neptune Planet 9 requirements

Minimum recommended Planet 9 version: 2.0.4

1.2 Database requirements

Any database supported by the Planet 9 platform will work with PearlPOS. Database size and performance requirements will vary depending on the number of transactions, articles in assortment and the time required before archiving/deletion of data can happen.

1.3 Browser requirements

PearlPOS will run on all modern browsers, but the latest version of Google Chrome or Windows 10 UWP app is recommended.

1.4 PC requirements

In general, PEARLPOS can run on most hardware, but more CPU and memory will offer a better user experience and a lower risk for failure. The minimum requirements are:

• USB ports. The number of USB ports will vary, but typically you need at least two for keyboard scanner and cash drawer.
• PoweredUSB (Retail USB) if the receipt printer requires this.
